Grow with the unique genes rather than my own,
Birth your own disaster in your own hands.

Whispers upon echoes, and echoes-
In a vacant, blinding landscape
Of naught but frost.
Children's snowmen crumble,
Weathered by the weather;
Falling apart without firm hands
To hold them strong and steady
And soothe away the chilblains...
And so I sit in the cold,
The cold that holds me close.
The only warmth around me.
And trembling lips, how they slip-

When the candles are lights on our horizons.
Framed by fingertips-
Watching as the sun rises in the perfect frame.
As the sky weeps pink over our heads,
I, too, shed silently my blight.
For a swift moment I become radiant,
A phoenix in the flame of the morn.
Reborn amongst my painful, littered ashes.
It only takes a moment to fall from my height
To land in a useless heap of pungent memories.
But when I stand again-
I walk the road between,
Where the bus chases the train through the meadows;
My feet bypass the grass of my soul, tickling my toes.
Yet still, when air has passed

I die as the wind blows this way.
My thoughts crumble to dust
In the wake of the heavy doubts
I'm still carrying onwards and on.

From existence to simple fantasy.
I'm standing between the lines
That I made with my own hands-
The same hands holding the chips.
We realise our fruitful gains
Once we lose them in foolery.
Betting away myself to her greed
Has left me with only one coin,
Playing truancy with eager eyes.
The penny drops and cracks;
I spill from the inside out,
Flowing down the ruptured rocks
With what little self pouring
From all I have left in
